Luke is an award-winning illustrator and art director. His visual language draws on metal, sci-fi, fantasy, comics, the kind of stuff he grew up consuming, and he's created work for Metallica, Sleep Token, Ozzy, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Xbox, huge names.
But he felt people saw the art, not the person.

So, he asked us to make a short documentary about the human being behind the images. The film traces his early influences, pulling on threads from 70s and 80s sci-fi and fantasy and metal, dark pop culture and connects the kid absorbing all of that to the artist now shaping worlds for some of the biggest entertainment properties in the world.

The timing was intentional. Luke's closely tied to Gears of War and with E-Day approaching and attention spiking, the doc offered audiences a way to meet the person responsible. For us, it was a chance to tell a very human story about creativity.

That great work is the result of a lifetime of input, obsessing, and the slow build of ideas and our job was to introduce people to the brilliant mind, behind the work.
