Bonehead
Stripped back to the bones. Built to hit harder.
Bonehead is Birmingham’s cult fried chicken spot. Bold, loud, unapologetically itself.
When they came to us for a full rebrand, the brief was clear. Take what made Bonehead brilliant and make it impossible to ignore.
-
Bonehead had the personality, the food and the following. What they needed was a brand world that matched the energy of the place. The existing identity wasn’t doing justice to what Bonehead actually was. The brief was to strip it back, rebuild from the bones up, and create something that felt as bold and direct as the food itself.
The work needed to hold across everything. New visual identity. New menu. New website. Social-first video content to launch it all.
-
We started with the essence of what makes Bonehead Bonehead. The culture, the attitude, the food. Then we built outward from there.
The new brand identity was designed to live comfortably in the world Bonehead already occupied. Heavy, confident, with a visual language that felt like it belonged on the walls of a Birmingham dive bar rather than a generic fast food brand. Every element was considered to make sure it worked as hard in a social feed as it did on a menu or a sign.
The new menu was developed alongside the identity, making sure the design system held at every touchpoint. The website was built to reflect the new brand world properly, not just display it. And the social-first video content was produced to launch everything with the energy the rebrand deserved.
